Fundraising

As a charter school, Lincoln Charter (LCS) does not receive the same funding as traditional public schools. To bridge this gap, the PTO steps in to help LCS purchase essential technology, programs, materials, and more. By working together with families, teachers, and the community through our fundraising efforts, we make a significant difference for our school.

Track attack:

Track Attack is our one and only annual fundraiser. Instead of having multiple fundraisers throughout the year, LCS Denver PTO hosts one large event to cover all our fundraising needs. Here’s how it works:

• Dates: Starts August 19th and ends on October 9th with our big Celebration Day - Track Attack!
• Event: Track Attack concludes with a 5K race and celebration day filled with activities for all students.
• Communications: Information will be widespread leading up to Celebration Day.
• Fundraising: Parents and students reach out to friends, family, and businesses to donate to the school and support its mission.
• Incentives: There’s a campaign with incentives for students based on the funds they raise.
• Business Sponsorship: Multiple sponsorship levels are available for businesses in exchange for marketing opportunities. Note: 5 pm on September 18th is the deadline for Business Sponsors' “Company name & logo” to be added to our Track Attack shirts.

Other ways to help:

• Eating out on Spirit Nights (Restaurant nights)
• Buying Spirit Gear
• Shopping at certain local and national retailers

Where does the money go?:

With Track Attack success, we are able to continue to purchase or contribute towards:

• Teacher grants: $300/$400 for new teachers
• New Parent Coffee 
• Honor Roll recognition
• Staff appreciation (gifts, breakfasts, luncheons, and more)
• Holiday Music Program 
• Spring Music Program 
• Patriotic Music Program
• Goodies with Grandparents
• Muffins with Mom
